Blueberry and Mixed Nut Salad
A pretty straightforward fruit and nut salad, and highly nutrititious. Blueberries from the fridge, plus a nut selection from the supermarket. Soused in single cream, and dressed in cinnamon. Delicious!

Strawberry and Walnut Salad
Quartered Scottish Strawberries, soused for four or five hours in granulated sugar, which produces excellent juices.
Decant to a serving bowl and add two handfuls of walnut pieces.
Add three or four dessert spoonfuls of plain yoghurt (or single cream if you prefer). Chill in the fridge for half an hour before serving. A fabulous dish!

Blueberry and Walnut Salad
A good value tray of blueberries from Aldi, and some leftover walnuts, prompted this dish.
The blueberries were washed first in a colander, and added to the serving bowl, along with the crushed walnut pieces. The cream (about two dessert spoonfuls) was poured over half of the contents.
That's it! If you prefer a sweeter and less tart dish, you can soak the blueberries for an hour or two in water (or some white wine) with some sugar, before assembling the dish.
